About Vicki

Acclaimed for her “luscious sound and comedic sensibility”, as well as her “soaring soprano”, Vicki Fingalson is an active performer of opera and operetta with over 35 roles and 50 productions to her credit including Nedda (I Pagliacci), Musetta (La Bohème), Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana), Anna Maurrant (Street Scene), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Pamina (The Magic Flute), and Hanna (The Merry Widow).  She has performed with companies and orchestras across the U.S., and frequently performs with her husband, Jeffrey Madison, in recital and concert performances. In addition, she has been broadcast numerous times on MPR in studio, live and pre-recorded performances.  Vicki is a two-time District Winner/Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions and winner at the Denver Allied Arts Art Song competition.  The 2012 season has included a return to Lyric Opera of the North to sing the role of Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, as well as debuts with the Colorado Symphony as the Sandman & Dew Fairy in Hansel & Gretel and the DSSO as the Soprano Soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah.  Fingalson is currently Assistant Professor of Voice and Director of Opera Workshop at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
